PRESIDENT BEGINS THREE-DAY TOUR OF EASTERN REGION

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo would today begin the last and final part of his tour of the country.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo would today begin the last and final part of his tour of the country.

 

The tour , in the Eastern region, would afford the President an opportunity to interact and learn at first hand the plight of the people.

The three-day working tour would see the President holding series of meetings with the Chiefs and people of the region and various stakeholders.

His first point of call would be Akosombo where he is expected to visit and interact with workers of the Volta River Authority.

He would then depart Akosombo for Asesewa in the Upper Manya constituency where a durbar would be held in his honour by the Chiefs and people of the area.

The second day of the tour would see the President visit Kwahu where he is also expected to pay a courtesy call on Kwahumanhene at Abene in the Abetifi constituency.

From there, the President and members of his delegation would make a brief stopover and inspection of Nkawkaw town roads.

He is also billed to inspect the proposed technical college at Akyem Afosu in the Abirem constituency and later visit the Youth Training Centre at Takorase in the Akwatia constituency.

President Akufo-Addo then departs Takorase for Akwatia to visit the once prized national asset, the Ghana Consolidated Diamonds company at Akwatia.

The tour finally comes to an end on Friday, December 22, 2017, with a visit to Apedwa to inspect the Agro-Tech Ghana Limited (Poultry Farm & Hatchery).

From Apedwa, the President would head to his hometown, Kyebi to attend a party for children.

After that, he departs to Koforidua to inspect the abandoned Affordable Housing Project at New Juaben.

A final durbar would be held in his honour by the Chiefs and people of New Juaben at Koforidua Jackson's Park.
